Dancing with the Stars of Loving Arms is an annual charity fund-raising event featuring local dance instructors and volunteer supporters of Loving Arms Cancer Outreach. Proceeds of the event directly benefit cancer patients who are served by Loving Arms. We pair our volunteer contestants with local dance instructors, and the teams compete not only for the best dance performance, but also on the amount of donations each team can raise. You can donate and support your favorite dance team, as well as the cancer patients who benefit from our services. You can vote at any time, even before the actual dance contest even happens! It's all great fun for a good cause. We hope you'll join us for a fun evening of dinner and dancing, along with some of our community's most generous supporters. About Loving Arms Cancer Outreach
Loving Arms Cancer Outreach is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, whose vision is to help cancer patients and their families. Our only requirement for helping someone is that they have a diagnosis of cancer, no particular kind, just cancer. Loving Arms was founded by 2 nurses who have a combined 30+ years of experience working with cancer patients. That’s 30+ years of hearing the heart and needs of patients and their families.
Having cancer is not only a health issue, it also creates additional financial and emotional strains on families. Increased medical bills, employment interruptions, and numerous other changes of circumstance all serve to create burdens on cancer patients and their families. Loving Arms Cancer Outreach was born out of a desire to help ease some of the hardships cancer can bring. We have a heart for cancer patients and want to make their journey a little easier.
Whom Do We Help?
We help people who have undergone some type of treatment within the last 18 months as the result of a cancer diagnosis. Headquartered in Marietta, we currently serve patients who live in the following Georgia counties:
Cobb, Bartow, Cherokee, Douglas, Carroll, Paulding, Pickens
